It took overtime to separate the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Toronto Raptors in the first game of their NBA Eastern Conference semi-final on Tuesday night. The Cavs won the game 113-112 in Toronto.

It also took several standers-by to separate Cavs squad member Kendrick Perkins and rapper Drake, a Raptors fan. The two exchanged heated words just before half-time.

After the game, Perkins - whose father Kenny played basketball in Ireland with Killester - said the exchange had begun when Drake overhead a conversation between him and former teammate with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Serge Ibaka.

"I was fucking with Serge, my old teammate. I wasn't talking to (Drake)," Perkins told ESPN.

"(I was) telling him 'We about to win this game,' and Drake butted in talking shit to me. So I said something back to him.

"He said something slick so I said something back: 'Sit your ass down and watch the game.'"

The row continued after the final buzzer of overtime.
