It has been a fairly nondescript weekend of FA Cup action thus far, but, with all the expected results coming to fruition, the FA Cup quarter-final draw has thrown up some crackers.

With Chelsea overcoming Hull City with ease last night, Manchester United overcame Huddersfield this afternoon with a bit more of a struggle.

Pep Guardiola's Manchester City will enter the FA Cup quarter-final aware that their midweek thrashing of Basel in the Champions League keeps the improbable dream of a quadruple alive.

Although they still have to overcome Paul Cook's Wigan Athletic, the Catalan is on the road to perhaps achieving something very rare in only his second season with the club.

Another of those teams that recorded a positive result in the Champions League midweek were Mauricio Pochettino's Tottenham Hotspur. While they will take on Rochdale tomorrow to ensure their place in the FA Cup quarter-final, the prospect of the Argentine bringing a first trophy to Spurs during his tenure is well and truly on also.

The FA Cup quarter-final will all be decided in one tie; there will be no replays should the game end in a draw.

FA Cup Quarter-Final:

Sheffield Wednesday/Swansea City v Rochdale/Tottenham Hotspur

Manchester United v Brighton & Hove Albion

Leicester City v Chelsea

Wigan Athletic/Manchester City v Southampton

The FA Cup quarter-final ties are due to be played on the weekend of the 17th/18th of March, 2018.
