Sean Dyche's men were goaless after the first leg, but with the scores locked at 0-0 after 90 minutes at Turf Moor, extra time was needed. Jack Cork was the man to finally break the deadlock in the 97th minute. The 29-year-old was set up by Jeff Hendrick, who cleverly sold a dummy on the edge of the box before laying the ball off for Cork to curl into the top corner:

After the game Dyche commended his players' effort, telling Radio 5 Live that it is a big achievement to still be in the competition:

The players are showing a desire for the competition, which is great because there is a lot of negative noise around it

It is a massive badge of honour to be in a European competition, as most fans thought those days had gone forever.

The Clarets will now face Greek side Olympiakos in a two-legged play-off, with the winners qualifying for the group stage. The first leg of the tie takes place next Thursay August 23rd in Greece, with the return leg in Turf Moor the following week.
