Liverpool fans, look away now. Naby Keita is the latest player to be struck down by the international break curse, with the Guinean carried off by a team mate after what looked like a thigh injury during his Africa Cup of Nations match against Rwanda on Tuesday.

Keita joins Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk as injury worries for Jurgen Klopp ahead of the Reds trip to Huddersfield on Saturday.

Mohamed Salah had to be withdrawn during his side's 4-1 win against eSwatini last Friday. The Egyptian returned to Liverpool for treatment though his muscle strain is not though to be severe.

Dutch boss Ronaldo Koeman has released Virgil Van Dijk from the Netherlands squad, with the 26-year-old suffering from two broken ribs. The defender had been taking pain killing injections in order to play in Liverpool's last couple of matches.

Senegal's Sadio Mane reportedly broke his thumb training with his national side, with the 26-year-old unlikely to feature against Huddersfield.

Liverpool supporters do have some good news on the injury front however, with James Milner reportedly making a speedy comeback from a hamstring tear suffered against Man City.
