Cork suffered a terrible scare in the second-half of today's incredible clash with Tipperary - and without Anthony Nash, it could have become a full-blown nightmare.

Leading by nine points at the half-way mark, Cork's lead had been successfully whittled down with around ten minutes remaining.

Looking a team transformed, Michael Ryan's looked set to retaliate to the sound of Ger Loughnane's ominous half-time reproach of their quick descent to hurling's bottom.

Having done incredibly well in that second-half, a shell-shocked Cork eventually found the means of some reply.

Eking back out a three-point lead, Cork were heavily reliant on their goalkeeper Anthony Nash to secure the lead. Meeting a breaking-ball at the edge of the Cork box, John O'Dwyer caught the shot sweetly; low to Nash's right.
