After yesterday's Munster hurling championship defeat to Limerick in the Gaelic Grounds, Tipperary boss Michael Ryan had the county's public relations officer reveal that he would not be speaking to the gathered sports media.
A blanket media ban, Ryan did not even speak to RTÉ's The Sunday Game. It was announced that he would be carrying on with this approach until Tipperary concluded their round robin series of games in the revamped provincial championship - at least.
Arousing the frustration of many, Ryan's decision not to speak after a disappointing defeat was read as perhaps a little petulant.
However, slightly more than twenty-four hours later, the silence is set to be broken it seems. As per the sports department of Tipp FM, Ryan is due to speak to the county tomorrow morning.

Although Ryan will almost certainly discuss Tipperary's disappointing defeat, and perhaps his unusual team selection, one wonders whether he will address the short-lived media ban that on Sunday seemed the correct route to take.
