What would you give to be out on your local GAA pitch right now, warming up for a match?

After a long absence, the return of GAA action is just around the corner. The National Hurling League will get underway this weekend, with the football set to follow a week later.

Club players will also return to training from next week, with some tam lucky enough to take to some incredibly scenic pitches around the country.

We have previously told you about Valleymount GAA's pitch in Wicklow, while Inishturk's pitch in Mayo is also a thing of beauty.

This one is certainly up there with the best of them.

Brian Campbell is a Killybegs native who returned to Ireland not too long ago after a couple of years in New Zealand. The lockdown last srping meant his photography was restricted to his hometown for a long period, but that allowed him to snap a stunning picture of his local GAA pitch.

While it is no longer used by the local club, its location right on Fintra Bay makes for an incredible photo.
