Meath beat Dublin by two points in the Sean Cox fundraising match at Páirc Tailteann on Sunday afternoon.

The game finished 0-16 to 1-11 to the home side.

It was a match organised to raise funds for Sean Cox who sustained life-altering injuries while attending a Liverpool game earlier this year.

Points from Niall Kane and Michael Newman with time nearly up were the difference in a closely fought game. Those were part of an unanswered four-point run from Meath to claim the win. Robbie McDaid had earlier hit the back of the Meath net as Dublin took a 1-9 to 0-11 lead.
