After 23 years of sticky floors, smokey alcoves and the most immoral nights of your lives, the future of Copper Face Jacks is in doubt this evening!

The traditional post-Hill haunt of a GAA Sunday has been put up for sale, with owners Cathal and Paula Jackson deciding to get rid as they approach retirement.

Owner of the adjacent Jackson Hotel, Mr Jackson paid tribute to the nightclub's "great and loyal customers".

It is now time to hand over the reins to new owners who have the energy and the expertise to take Coppers to the next level and to continue to deliver the "best night out in Dublin" to all our great and loyal customers.

All very well for you's lads, but where is the assurance of entry on All-Ireland weekend, eh?
