Darren Till was set to face off against Stephen Wonderboy Thompson on Sunday night as the main event for UFC Liverpool, but the bout has been thrown into doubt after the 25-year-old did not showed up to the weigh-ins.

The UFC have since granted the fighter another hour in which to weigh in, citing a family emergency. Till eventually appeared but weighed in at 174.5 pounds, which puts him over the requisite weight of 170 pounds.

The ball is most definitely in Stephen Thompson's court at the moment, as the 35-year-old weighs up the pros and cons of taking the fight at a catchweight due to Till's indiscretion.

Needless to say, fans are not impressed with Till's failure to make weight, having talked a big game in the run up to the fight:

UPDATE:

The weight issues have been settled as Stephen Thompson has agreed to fight Till at a catchweight of 188 pounds, with the clause that the Liverpudlian fighter must not weigh over that amount by 1pm tomorrow ahead of their Sunday evening showdown.

Till has also forfeited 30% of his purse in lieu of missing weight.
