Josh Emmett has confirmed he is set to contest his controversial loss from last night's UFC Orlando following Jeremy Stephens knockout.

The decision was intensely debated on Fox by Daniel Comer, Dominick Cruz and Michael Bisping as Stephens threw a flurry of elbows and an inaccurate knee to end the fight in the second round. The crowd at Amway Center did not appear aggrieved at the finish but several online commentators voiced frustration at what they perceived to be an illegal shot.

Had the referee agreed it was an illegal shot, he would have intervened and docked a point. The fight would then have been restarted. Although it did not land flush, the knee itself did seem illegal.

The result leaves Stephens with an MMA record of 27 wins and 14 losses.
