Carlow man, Steve Lennon, lost a marathon match to England's Alan Norris in the second round at the PDC World Championships on Thursday afternoon.

Lennon won the opening set but then fell 3-0 in the second. The 25-year-old retook the advantage when he won the third but then Norris set up a decider when he claimed the fourth.

The final set - which has to be won by two clear legs - went to sudden death after Norris levelled it at 5-5. Lennon won the battle to see who would throw first in the decider but he was unable to capitalise on that advantage.

This was the final leg.
