England and Australia are slugging it out at a wet and wild Twickenham this evening, and the old adage of game being decided by nothing but the bounce of a ball has never rung so true.

With the game relatively tight at 6-3 as we ticked toward the final quarter, Australia butchered a glorious opportunity to score, but for Kuridrani to sloppily knock on. From there, George Ford booted the ball clear, and the covering Kurtley Beale waited for the ball to bounce harmlessly out of play. And he waited...and waited...and while he did, Elliot Daly stole in, knocked the ball up the line, and scored.

Remarkably, upon a lengthy review by the TMO, it was deemed that the ball had not gone into touch, so the try stood. It's a remarkable piece of fortune, which you can see below.
