Ireland have won a Grand Slam for the third time in history, sealed with an immensely satisfying 24-15 victory at Twickenham. It compiled England's recent woes but also smithereened a proud home record: this was a first Six Nations home defeat for the deposed champions since 2012. It also confirms Joe Schmidt as Ireland's finest coach: three titles, one of them a Grand Slam the tangible reward for other great days, most notably a first-ever victory over New Zealand.

After the game, the Irish players celebrated a deserved achievement on the field with their families. Sportsfile were there too, and here are some of their images as a nation basked in success.
