Minister for Sport Shane Ross has come under considerable scrutiny recently for the awarding of funds from his department's Sports Capital Programme.

With €450,000 being awarded to private, fee-paying institutions within his own constituency at the expense of public schools across the country, the minister has nonetheless being tremendously enjoying Ireland's recent Grand Slam success.

Although the official home-coming was postponed due to the weather in Dublin today, Ross was present as the team returned to Dublin - and boy did he want us to know it.

In what is not the first gaffe by this particular politician however, a post from his own Twitter account demonstrated Ross' lack of awareness about who exactly he was meeting.

Not that it took 'Dave' too long to get his own back.
