Munster bowed out of the Pro14 today after coming within a point of Leinster at the RDS. The semi-final clash was a tense but entertaining encounter that saw some late drama as Munster's Gerbrandt Grobler was awarded a last-minute try after seemingly touching the ball off the base of the post.

However, the try itself was unusual in that it seemed like the TMO's view did not give a clear indicator the ball had touched the post.

It was a decision that could have had huge repercussions and proved unpopular amongst Leinster fans.

Munster were left to rue their decision to not take the three points on offer earlier in the game that could have proved huge in those final minutes. However, they did exhibit some real progress from the restrictive style that saw them bow out of Europe and they can take a lot of heart in the continued improvement in the likes of Rory Scannell, Sam Arnold and James Cronin. Leinster are the champions of Europe for a reason and now look towards making it a double, with a final against Scarlets on the horizon.
