It appears David Gillick has been through the wars again. The two-time European indoor 400m champion tweeted a photo of himself today looking a bit worse for wear in a hospital bed.

The former Irish sprinter traded in his runners for football boots earlier this year after he retired from athletics and the physicality of his new sport had almost an immediate negative impact on him.
It is unclear whether this new photo is of the recurring nose injury flaring up again or if Gillick has taken measures to correct the damage he suffered earlier this year.
