The Irish 4x100m team of Molly Scott, Gina Akpe-Moses, Rhasidat Adeleke and Patience Jumbo-Gula are into the final after clocking 44.27 to qualify as the second fastest heat at the IAAF World U20 Championships.

The result puts the team through to tomorrow's final and in with a huge medal chance.

Speaking after the race, Patience Jumbo-Gula said their focus is now on repeating the performance tomorrow: "We're just going to go out and do what we did today, run out hard and see what happens. We're pretty confident!"
