Barry McGuigan: Sky Sports Guys Are Becoming A 'Laughing Stock' After Frampton Scoring

Barry McGuigan confirmed to Joe Molloy on Off the Ball tonight that he and his boy had a fantastic weekend but didn't waste time before launching into a withering attack on the Sky Sports commentators who reckoned the fight a draw and the judge who gave the fight to Quigg.

The scoring was a joke. I cannot understand how the Sky guys could have had that fight a draw. I think they are becoming a laughing stock when they come out with things like that. The judge, Levi Martinez, who gave the decision against him, he needs to go to Specsavers, he genuinely does. The supervisor from the IBF told me they're going to pull him over the coals. Because he's normally a good judge but on that occasion he got that completely wrong. Frampton at least won the fight by eight rounds to four. If not by four rounds, then five. The consensus was it was five rounds.

McGuigan announced that Frampton was the best fighter Ireland ever had after he defeated the previously unbeaten Quigg in a 'boring' fight in Manchester.

Frampton anticipated a boring fight but said he was reluctant to say so before. The pay-per-view figures mightn't have held up well had he been more forthcoming.

He also appeared put out that Martinez had given the fight to Quigg, saying he wasn't sure what fight he'd been watching.
