London's York Hall will be the venue for Eric Donovan's debut in the ring on UK soil  - the Irish fighter will be back in action on Saturday, June 22.

And when the featherweight enters the ring at the historic Bethnal Green venue, he will be putting his unbeaten record on line once again after claiming nine wins from his nine bouts to date since turning professional.

It will be a significant bout for the Kildare pugilist as it will mark the first time he fights outside the Republic of Ireland.

Donovan's most recent bout in the National Stadium back in March saw him claim the BUI Irish featherweight title over Stephen McAfee with a dominant display. The bout, televised live on TG4 and dubbed Clash of the Titans, ended with a stoppage in the fourth round after McAfee had no answer for an immense body shot from Donovan.

Irish prospects Owen Duffy, Victor Rabei, Craig McCarthy and Cillian Reardon have already been added to the card, with more expected to join them over the coming weeks and days.

Since making his Irish professional debut last year, there has been speculation surrounding a possible open-air fight on home soil for the 27-year-old, as part of the Féile an Phobail festival.
