Donegal man Jason Quigley moved to 13-0 in his pro career last month when he beat Glen Tapia by decision in California. He also won his first pro title, picking up the NABF belt.

That victory came at a cost. Quigley injured his right hand in the third round of the fight. It would likely have been another KO win for the 25-year-old had he not done so.

Quigley reportedly broke his hand and also detached and damaged a tendon in his wrist.

While he is out injured - and it could be a protracted period of time - the latest WBA and WBC rankings may prove of some solace to Quigley.

The Ballybofey fighter, known as 'El Animal', made his pro debut nearly three years ago. During his time with Golden Boy, he has risen to number 10 in the WBA rankings.

Earlier this week, there was further good news for Quigley when he landed at number 15 in the latest WBC rankings.
