Katie Taylor has dominated women's boxing for a decade-and-a-half, both at amateur and professional level. She ended her time as an amateur as one of the most decorated fighters of all time at that level, and has gone on to tear up the record books as a pro.

She is already a two-weight world champion and has been involved in some massive bouts. Her next fight will see a rematch of the fight with Delfine Persoon in August of this year, with some believing the Belgian should have won that original meeting.

Should Taylor come out on top in that one, she has some big things planned. Speaking with Irish-Boxing.com, promoter Eddie Hearn said that the Irishwoman could be looking at a fight with MMA legend Cris Cyborg.

She wants Persoon, she wants Serrano, she wants Braekhus, she wants Cyborg.

I’m not saying she’s done after that, but that’s what motivates her.

Cyborg is perhaps the greatest female MMA fighter of all-time, boasting a professional record of 22-2. She even went on a 20 fight win streak before losing to Amanda Nunes at UFC 232.

She has since moved to Bellator where she won the featherweight title in her first fight with the promotion earlier this year.

The Brazilian had expressed a desire to fight for a boxing world title in the past, and a fight between her and Taylor would certainly appeal to even the more casual fight fans.

It would certainly be a very interesting bout.
