This will be the first time Macklin has fought in the capital since he defeated Rafael Sosa Pintos in 2009.

In more exciting news, boxing scribe Kevin Byrne revealed that the highly anticipated grudge match between Macklin and Limerick man Andy Lee could happen in the O2 in November.

The prospect of the two heavy hitters slugging it out is enough to make Irish fight fans salivate. Judging by the pair's recent performances, this could be some spectacle.
