Despite fears that the biggest fight in combat sports history may not even sell out, the fact that this PPV is expected to break all sorts of records means that those involved are not at all worried.
Conor McGregor's biggest disclosed fight purse in the UFC was $3m for his second fight with Nate Diaz, but the Dubliner is set to make ten times that amount when he steps into the ring to face Floyd Mayweather.
And for 'Money' himself? Floyd is set to take home a cool $100m as the figures were released by the Nevada Athletic Commission on Friday night, as per MMAFighting.com.
Mayweather vs McGregor fight purse:
“The Notorious” will pull in $30 million disclosed for his boxing match against Floyd Mayweather here at T-Mobile Arena, per a document obtained from the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) by MMA Fighting on Friday night. Mayweather will take home a disclosed $100 million.
Keep in mind, this is the disclosed fight purse for tonight only, both men are expecting to make far, far more once sponsorships and PPV sales are factored into the equation.
The estimated amounts to be earned after all is said and done is around $100m for McGregor, and as much as $300m for Floyd Mayweather.
It's decent work if you can get it...
