Jason Quigley is now 12-0 in his pro boxing career after another KO win for the Donegal man at the Forum in Inglewood, California.
Quigley was facing Puerto Rican Jorge Melendez on the undercard for the Bernard Hopkins vs Joe Smith Jr. fight.
It took the Irish middleweight just 2:35 of the first round to stop his opponent. Melendez had gone into the fight with a decent looking record of 30-7-1. However, Quigley made short work of what was scheduled to be a ten round bout.

The 25-year-old had his opponent on the canvas three times in the round before Melendez's corner arrived at ringside waving the towel. The referee should really have stopped the fight prior to that as Melendez looked uneasy on his feet.
Quigley's first knockdown came after just 67 seconds, the second after 1:44 and the third shortly before the fight was stopped.
It was another impressive performance from the world silver medalist.
