The brilliant Tony Bellew rant at David Haye on Saturday night will put the hype machine into overdrive ahead of a potential future match-up between the two.

Tony Bellew defended his WBC cruiserweight title last night by knocking out BJ Flores in three rounds - but the most notable part of the evening was the barrage of abuse Bellew threw towards Haye in the aftermath.

Haye, the former unified cruiserweight champion, retired in 2011 only to make a comeback a year later against Derek Chisora and was out of the fight game for another three years before defeating Mark de Mori in January of this year and then Arnold Gjergjaj in May.

And after Bellew's comprehensive victory over Flores, he turned to Haye and let loose with an absolutely hilarious rant that is sure to bring anticipation levels through the roof ahead of a possible scrap between the two.

Bellew called Haye's comeback opponents "a joke" and promised he would "smash" Haye like he did Flores. He also made allusion to Haye's "pathetic haircut" and threw in a couple of Spongebob Squarepants references while admitting that Haye was better looking.

To transcribe the interview wouldn't do justice to Bellew's performance. You're better just to watch it yourself.
