Tyson Fury Once Again Apologises After Once Again Going On 'One Of Those' Rants

World Heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has once again apologised to the public, having once more gone on one of his bizarre, seemingly uncontrollable rants about [choose one or a number of] other cultures, genders and/or sexual orientations.

Midweek, the 27-year-old undefeated made remarks about Jewish people in the media, and once more vaguely compared homosexual activity to bestiality for seemingly no reason under the sun. And so, naturally, he has pretty much copy and pasted his apology from the last time he said similar, extremely weird things:

I apologize to anyone who may have taken offense at any of my comments. I said some things which may have hurt some people, which as a Christian man is not something I would ever want to do. Though it is not an excuse, sometimes the heightened media scrutiny has caused me to act out in public.

I mean no harm or disrespect to anyone, and I know more is expected of me as an ambassador of British boxing, and I promise in future to hold myself up to the highest possible standard. Anyone who knows me personally knows that I am in no way a racist or bigot, and I hope the public accept this apology.

Some argued Fury's description of the media was in fact a stab at the media and not the 'Zionist, Jewish people' he described, but context has never been one of Fury's strengths, and frankly life is too short to try and read between the lines of these strange and entirely unnecessary outbursts.

His statement continued in the third person:

As a man of Traveller heritage, Mr. Fury has suffered bigotry and racial abuse throughout his life, and as such would never wish anyone to suffer the same. He has many friends of a wide range of backgrounds and races and wishes no ill to anyone of any race, religion or sexual orientation.

Mr. Fury is a devout Christian and a family man. However, he accepts that in the past, he has said things publicly which are misrepresentative of his beliefs and usual good character. He appreciates he has a duty as the heavyweight champion of the world. He knows it comes with certain responsibilities and anything he says publicly will be heavily scrutinized. Mr. Fury now wishes to move past this and instead concentrate on what he does best, which is boxing.

Fury has been highlighting discrimination against Travellers and his family on Twitter this week, although it remains to be seen how it relates in any way to his description of transgender people, for example, as "freaks."

He fights Wladimir Klitschko at the Manchester Arena in July - a rematch of their world championship contest which Fury won late last year.
