The main man from "Don-eh-gul, Ireland" struck again on Friday night, as two vicious right hands to the body saw Jason Quigley improve his professional record to 10-0, with nine wins by knockout.

The Ballybofey man hardly broke a sweat as he dispatched of Freddy Lopez inside the opening stanza, but fans of the bleary-eyed variety may have missed the real highlight of El Animal's victory in California; US boxing shot-caller Beto Duran throwing in a couple of words as Gaeilge for Irish fans who were watching the fight live.

A fairly decent attempt at 'Conas atá tú' from the bilingual Duran (whose two fluent languages do not include Irish). Perhaps Muriel Quigley had a word with Beto beforehand, but the ESPN and Golden Boy commentator was more than welcoming to "The Lads" who tuned in to watch the Irish middleweight from across the Atlantic.

And judging by his smirk as he stood in the neutral corner where the commentators were positioned, Quigley might well have heard him.

Maith an fear, Beto.

In case you missed it, you can watch Quigley's savage stoppage victory here.
