On this week's edition of Ireland's cricket podcast The Slog Sweep, In his usual theatrically angry tone, Hook announced that 'every time that guy Morgan and that guy Rankin hit a four or take a wicket I do my nut because no more than Keane in Saipan they have abandoned their country.'

A frustrated Hook said that 'we're only a spit away from test status and if we had Morgan and Rankin I think we'd be much closer.'
