German rider John Degenkolb won the Paris-Roubaix one-day classic in a six-man sprint finish. The finish line was not the only moment of action during the race. Near the town of Wallers a level crossing caused mayhem when it split the peloton.
Several riders crossed the tracks despite the barriers being down and it being against the rules do so when they are in place.
