The footage was discovered by French TV. The incident happened just 800 metres into the stage.

Eurosport have reported that Sky team leaders Dave Brailsford and Nicolas Porta reviewed the footage with the commissioner after the finish. The race itself was won by Magnus Cort Nielsen while Geraint Thomas maintained the yellow jersey. Moscon had been a key figure in Sky's successful start to the tour.
