He's Done It Again! Irish Sam Bennett Wins 2nd Stage Of Giro D'Italia
By Arthur James O'Dea Updated

Six days after becoming the first Irish cyclist to win a stage of the Giro d'Italia since 1987, Sam Bennett has gone and claimed another huge result.

In stage 12 of the Grand Tour, Bennett raced to another impressive finish, claiming his second win of the Giro in Imola.

Coming flying round the bend, the commentator summed up Bennett's finish superbly; "You want power? Have some of this!"

Speaking after the race, Bennett acknowledged it had been a "tough final." Deciding that he would "go early" in his chase of the leading pair, the Belgian-born cyclist raised in Carrick-on-suir admitted that he "didn't know whether he could hold it or not."
