Three Year Old Girl Briefly Leads Giro d'Italia In Malahide
By Conor Neville Updated

It's been a long time since an Irish cyclist led the Giro d'Italia - Roche won it in 87 - but for a brief period in Malahide an Irish rider was out in front in the peloton.

Dubliner Maggie O'Dwyer , wearing the pink jersey, led the pack, before slipping back into the crowd. We understand Paul Kimmage and David Walsh have already fallen out over whether to believe in this achievement.

The magnificent photo was taken by amateur photographer Tony Kavanagh
