Want some proof that Luis Suarez is not the world's craziest sportsperson? Well, the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series has kicked off at the Serpent's Lair in Inis Mór and as you can see, these folks make Suarez look as tame as any other well adjusted individual. Luckily for the 1,500 spectators who are expected to take in the action over the next couple of days, this is the kind of crazy that you can only be in awe of.

That little square bit of water is the Serpent's Lair, a natural blowhole that quite simply doesn't look fit for that purpose if you ask us. We'd prefer a nice big pool with no sharp edges anywhere in sight but then again we're not world class cliff divers.

For all the thought of 'holy shit, that's high' and 'that pool is tiny', there is still an awful lot of technique and finesse involved. As if you didn't believe us, here's an excellent slow motion video to prove it.

The competition concludes tomorrow and we'll be keeping you up to date with all the action.
