You may have heard the Barley House Wolves story previously.

On a layover in Shannon Airport - returning from a tour of duty - a group of marines watched their first game of hurling.

It inspired them to found the Barley House Wolves club in Concord, New Hampshire as a way to maintain the camaraderie established during their time in the military.

Dan Hanna goes as far as to say that his involvement has 'saved his life'.

Being part of the team has saved my life. Over the last couple of years, I've had some rough stints. These guys have been there and they've helped me through it.

It's not just a laugh for them though. They have also become competitive, making the national final three times in the last five years, winning once.
