Sometimes a movie is so bad that it's actually good. That can be said about none of the following movies.

You are probably aware that we consider ourselves sports movie fanatics here at Balls.ie, as chances are that if there is a sports scene in the film, one of us has probably seen it, such is our dedication to the genre.

But it's not all fun and games and power ranking the best characters, oh no, sometimes our love of a good sports flick can see us questioning our sanity as we sit though some of the least engaging films known to man. The following movies are examples of just that, movies that were so crap that they never should have seen the light of day.

Lets begin.

Green Street 2: Stand Your Ground

You can't even sit through the trailer without being filled with rage. Why? How? So many questions. The crapper actors from Green Street return in a hooligan film set in a prison. It's complete dogshit.

Never Back Down 2: The Beatdown

This movie will hurt your brain. The first movie was cheesy, but it was also well shot and had some solid character development, and many enjoyed it, but the sequel? Sweet Jesus. A couple of cameos from MMA athletes couldn't save this absolute disaster, featuring some of the worse acting ever seen anywhere and choreography from people who don't know the difference between MMA and professional wrestling.

We assure you we are not taking the piss here. This is a real thing.

Why? Why? WHY? Two cheesy films that saw absolutely horrific sequels then joined forces to become the absolute worst film in the history of the World. It's actually quite romantic.

Draft Day

Kevin Costner stars in this 90min advert for the NFL draft where the Cleveland Browns can't decide who they want to take in the first round. Nothing happens, and the acting will make you angry that you aren't getting paid to say words in front of a camera.

Cuba Gooding Jr went from Jerry Maguire, to this. It's a really, really bad film that is supposed be a feel-good story, but nobody feels good after watching it.

Wimbledon

Who allowed the most prestigious tournament in Tennis lend it's name to this movie that a 12 year old girl made in her bedroom for a school project? Horrible accents, even worse tennis scenes. Shocking.

Rocky V

The movie that made everybody finally say "Thats enough." for the Rocky series... Until Rocky Balboa. Anyway, Rocky V was the last attempt to milk the serialised Rocky cash cow, and it was also the worst attempt as everybody just seemed to stop caring. A shame.

Forever Strong

Surely a candidate for worst movie title ever, this one features the guy from Never Back Down.

Just look at the trailer. A horror show. The IMDB description says it all:

A rugby player is put up in a juvenile detention center. There he plays for the Highland Rugby team and ultimately plays against his father in the National Championships.

In a world... Where every rugby tackle involved a dramatic slow-motion backflip...

Just awful.

GOAL III

GOAL was decent, a great idea for a sports film and the choreography and cinematography were on point. GOAL II was poor, Munez became a star at Madrid but the movie kind of lost it's soul. GOAL III is a trainwreck. The trilogy that never should have been had stopped caring about itself and the budget had clearly gone. The football scenes are embarrassing and we don't even get to see Santiago Munez play in the World Cup, instead we get bloody Bovver from Green Street. Piss off Green Street.
