The MLS have announced their team of the year in the "MLS Best XI" ahead of the MLS Cup final. There are a number of familiar faces in the team, with Robbie Keane leading the team up front.
Keane's 19 goals and 14 assists - third and tied second in the league respectively - is the top combined goal/assist total in the league and has earned his 3rd consecutive MLS Best XI in his three season there.
Other notable names included are former Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, Landon Donovan, Obafemi Martins and Bradley Wright-Phillips. New England Revolution's Lee Nguyen leads the six Americans on the team, and will be the main competition, along with Martins with Keane for the "Volkswagen MLS MVP award" which will be announced tomorrow.
Keane leads teammates Omar Gonzalez and Donovan in the selections, and now LA Galaxy have the all time record selections in the MLS Best XI.
Keane will face off with Nguyen in the MLS Cup final after LA Galaxy and New England Revolution made it to American soccer's showpiece on Sunday.
