We took a look back over the last 30 years of Premier League action to bring you 20 players you may have forgotten existed.

Some made a decent impact in their short spell in the league, and others stole a living without making any sort of valuable contribution, but all of them are a good bet to make you exhale quickly through your nose, the purest form of internet laughter.

20 Forgotten Premier League Players

Nery Castillo

Mexican attacker Nery Castillo was snapped up by Shaktar Dontesk after he impressed in the 2004 Copa America, but he very rarely featured in that phase where Man City threw money at Football Manager prospects in the hope they would be good.

Ivar Ingimarsson

One of the starters of Reading's one good season in the Premier League, Ingimarsson was a no-nonsense defender who was actually decent, before he vanished into thin air.

Kamel Ghilas

A strange Algerian who nabbed a few important goals in a very experimental time for Hull City. Benefited from Stephen Hunt's tireless wing work on more than one occasion.

Cacapa

Newcastle fans may have repressed the memory of Cacapa, and if that was the case, we apologise for reminding you. Awful.

Paul Stalteri

Never a bad player, but this Canadian full back was so amazingly forgettable.

Lie Ti

Remember when Everton thought they had signed the first Chinese superstar at the same time they conveniently signed a deal with a Chinese sponsor?

Mikele Leigertwood

Someone who's name was awfully awkward for commentators, he was always a beast in the Championship.

David Rozehnal

rozehnal

Looked decent initially, then reverted to turning like a Dublin bus.

Amr Zaki

Pretty much kept Wigan in the league with a burst of regular scoring, most often via acrobatic finishes, linked to top clubs but then got lost in the lingerie section of Harrods and was never seen again.

Julien Faubert

He played for Real Madrid. Seriously. Google "Julien Faubert di Stefano" to see the picture that sums up that move.

Andre Bikey

bikey

Probably the most memorable on this list, an absolute madman who lost his head on countless occasions.

Vincent Pericard

Lost out to Ricardo Fuller in the battle for "Championship strikers who might just be OK in the Premier League" when Stoke were struggling to attract big players.

Noe Pamarot

pamarot

A flakey full-back who joined Spurs before boarding the sinking ship at Pompey.

Ilan

Four goals in 11 games on loan isn't a bad record, but what a forgettable Premier League Brazilian he was.

Hendry Thomas

Wilson Palacios' international team-mate for Honduras was a walking red-card who looked about 48 years of age.

Talal El Karkouri

el kark

If you needed to concede a free-kick for a high foot, Talal was your man.

Kiki Musampa

musampa

He had great hair and he loved half-volleys. Joined City at an awkward stage after not making the grade at Atletico. Always played with a smile.

Seyi Olofinjana

olofinjana

An intimidating presence in the middle of the pitch, as long as he didn't have the ball.

Nuno Valente

valente

Sometimes just because someone is an international footballer, it doesn't mean they can play in the Premier League.

Xisco

61446-234Fr

If he didn't have such a ridiculous name you wouldn't have known him in the first place.
