Hull City are currently in a very unenviable position as they enter their final two league games of the season facing the very real prospect of relegation, and they certainly won't be welcoming the news that has emerged today that states one of their key players will be facing a ban after testing positive for cocaine.
The Telegraph are reporting that former Spurs midfielder Jake Livermore failed a random drugs test after he played in Hull City's 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace last month, with cocaine believed to be the substance in question.
Livermore has one England cap to his name, and has played 34 times for Hull this season, but will no miss the remaining two games of the season and will no doubt face a lengthy ban. This will all make terrible reading for Steve Bruce as he prepares to ready his troops for the battle against relegation, which has been now made even more difficult by the loss of one of his first team regulars.
