Golf is set to be revolutionised forever at Adare Manor. The club was granted a license for a bar between the 9th and 10th holes of the course.

According to the Limerick Leader, in what looks to be the first of its kind in the country, the new perfectly named 'Halfway House' on the back nine of the course will be serving pints and is a game changer in so many ways.

Normally golfers would have to wait until their round was over to enjoy a beer, in the '19th hole' but very soon, that is about to change in Limerick. Though, it could also be viewed as an extra hazard.

The country club and golf course is owned by Irish mogul JP McManus who bought it for €30 million in 2015.

The hotel and golf course are both currently closed for renovations until Autumn of this year and the new refreshment bar on the course was revealed when the club was granted a bar license by Limerick Circuit Court earlier in the week.

The course is being readied for a pro-am competition in 2020 and they hope to attract some of golf's biggest stars to the event. Previously they raised nearly €100 million at the last pro-am in 2010.
