Adebayor Celebrates Enjoying His Football Again By Inadvertently Slagging All Of His Teammates

The adventures of Emmanuel Adebayor would make for one hell of a film, as the former Arsenal, Man City, Spurs, and even briefly Real Madrid striker has enjoyed a topsy-turvy career full of twists and... Just general strangeness.

Last time we checked in with Adebayor, he was in the middle of some serious family problems which he publicly discussed on his Facebook page, and at that point it seemed as though we would never see the big Togolese striker back playing in the Premier League. Enter Alan Pardew.

Since signing for Crystal Palace, Adebayor has been given the chance to enjoy his football again, and that is exactly what he is doing as could be seen by anyone who watched him glide around in central midfield in the latter stages of the Arsenal match this past weekend, but he also confirmed his happiness in an interview with The Guardian.

And in true Adebayor style, he inadvertently slagged all of his teammates in the process.

It is good to go back to Wembley, especially with Crystal Palace. I played with three big clubs in England with Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham and I’ve got the chance to go to Wembley with the smallest among those four clubs I have played for and it is even more beautiful.

It means this club has something special, they have a good manager and a good team and we don’t play the best football sometimes which is normal because of the players we have got – but trust me it is a beautiful club and I am just enjoying myself again.

Ahh, you were doing so well!

If suggesting that the players he plays with make it OK to play shite football every now and again wasn't enough, giving us his word, as if it was unfathomable otherwise, that Crystal Palace was a good club should ensure that he takes some stick at training tomorrow.

His comment also doesn't really make sense. With teammates such as Yoann Cabaye, Yannick Bolasie, and Wilfried Zaha, Palace are capable of playing some nice stuff. And while they do sometimes trench in against the bigger teams, that's more of a 'Pards will be Pards' situation.
