Wolves beat Barnsley 3-1 at Oakwell on Tuesday night.

The game featured a debut appearance for Alex Mowatt, the midfielder signed from Leeds as a replacement for the recently departed Conor Hourihane.

Mowatt was Leeds Player of the Year in 2014/15 but, mostly due to injury, his opportunities for first team chances decreased recently. The 21-year-old left Elland Road in a £600,000 deal late last week.

Last night was a game to forget for Mowatt - it lasted just 41 minutes before he was sent off for a two-footed tackle on Wolves midfielder Jack Price.

The game also featured Connor Ronan's first Championship assist for Wolves. The Ireland U19 international's free kick nine minutes before half-time was headed home by Dave Edwards
