Hugo Lloris and Heung-Min Son's half-time confrontation during Spurs' victory against Everton on Monday night has sparked conversations about rows involving teammates.

Speaking on Talksport, Ally McCoist recalled one for the ages from his time at Rangers. Initially, it involved Graeme Souness - player/manager at the time - and midfielder Ian Durrant but subsequently became a mass brawl.

Souness had introduced training games between the club's Scottish and English players. He would often play on the English side.

"We used to give them a doing on a Friday, they couldn't get us, we used to give the English boys a doing," said McCoist.

"We were taking the mickey, giving it all the 'Ole' stuff, the passing. They were boiling by the way, big Butcher was serious, they were boiling man.

"And then the ball came to wee Durranty and Souness smacked him - it was a Friday before a game - Souness came in and smashed him. But wee Durrant, it was before his injury and he was built like a stick. Remember those Weeble's that wobbled but didn't fall down?

"Wee Durrant was like a Weeble, he wobbled, down he goes, comes back up, puts his foot on the ball and looked at Souness and said 'Is that your best?'

"And Souness was like 'No Ian, it's not son, as a matter of fact this is' and went bang and smashed him.

"We were all into it, I'm not kidding you, I was trying to get a punch at Souness, I was flying into it, trying to get a punch at Souness.

"I see Terry Hurlock coming and I thought 'I'm not having much of this.'

"And big Butcher has got me in a headlock, Jimmy Nichol, fists are going everywhere.

"Walter Smith's running about with a whistle going 'beep, beep, beep', trying to stop the game.

"Brilliant days, absolutely brilliant days, now that was a proper bust-up."
