Ander Herrera's Comments On Yeovil Prove That He's Not Your Typical Modern Footballer
By Mikey Traynor Updated

Having signed for Manchester United from his home town club Athletic Bilbao in the Summer, Ander Herrera struggled to find a defined role in Louis Van Gaal's side for the first half of the season. With United fans calling for his inclusion, Herrera was given his chance in February for an FA Cup match away to Preston North End, and while that match was hardly an exceptional performance for Manchester United, or the Spaniard himself, he has started all six matches since.

While that match may have kick started Ander Herrera's run in the team, it was an earlier moment in this season's FA Cup that he pinpointed when asked about the emotions that football brings out of him:

I almost cried watching Messi against Man City. He's so good! But hey, I get excited easily and not only with the major teams. I'm a classic man and I was delighted when we played vs Yeovil Town in front of 8,000 standing people yelling at me: "Who are you?"

He loves a bit of a abuse, does Ander. To be fair, the Yeovil Town fans would have been fully aware of who he was after he did this later in the match:

It's good to see today's players embracing the history of the FA Cup.
