With the Championship season kicking off this weekend, we here at Balls decided to give our predictions for the upcoming campaign. Of course with this being one of the most unpredictable leagues in the world, it's probably all a big waste of time.

But hey back off, we're doing it anyway.

The categories were as follows: champions, promoted, relegated, top goalscorer, signing of the season, when Leeds will fall apart, flop of the season, Irish player to keep an eye on, and what we are most looking forward to.

Here's what the team at Balls HQ came up with.

Gary 'Playstation King' Connaughton

Champions: West Brom

Promoted: Brentford, Middlesbrough

Relegated: Charlton, Wigan, Hull City

Top goalscorer: Neal Maupay (Mitrovic if he leaves).

Signing of the season: Pontus Jansson (Brentford)

Irish player to keep an eye on: Alan Browne.

What you're most looking forward to: Having one team come from absolutely nowhere to get promoted, and another team who thought they were going up become involved in a relegation scrap.
