The David May Memorial Cup is proudly sitting in the house of Mark Walsh (don't ask him to go dig it out and don't go looking for it Mark) after he came closest to accurately predicting what would unfold in the treacherously unpredictable 2013-14 season.
The trophy will remain there for a year longer, but in May its up for grabs once more. And it's now, with the opening round of games looming large in front of us, when the hard yards are put in. The die will be cast from here.
Actually the Trophy will be a physical one - made from 1c Gold - soon to be delivered to Balls HQ. Also up for Grabs is a Premier League kit of the winners choice and further undetermined prizes.
