PSG wrapped up the French league over the weekend, smashing their closest rivals Monaco 7-1 to claim the top spot with five games to spare. One player who was conspicuous by his absence was recording signing Neymar. The 26-year-old is currently in Brazil receiving treatment for a metatarsal injury and during the match he posted on his Instagram story a picture of himself watching PSG's title clinching match, albeit while playing online poker.

Former Barcelona player Christophe Dugarry was not best pleased with Neymar's absence from his teams celebrations, chastising the player on RMC Sport:

How could Neymar not be there with his teammates with the title at stake? They've given him the role of leader and he doesn't even come to share in the win?

How is it possible that PSG can accept that? How can he look his teammates in the eye when he behaves that way? He's spitting on the club. I think it is outrageous. If he was at Barcelona, he would have returned with no problem.

If I was at PSG, I'd be very angry.

Neymar did post an Instagram congratulating his team mates writing  "I really wanted to be closer to you guys -- Congratulations! Come on, Paris!", though the Brazilian's actions seem very self serving, surely he could've got a plane back to the French capital and shared the victory with his team mates.

The recently gave an update on his injury to Brazilian program TV Globo, revealing he still has a month left to go of rehabilitation:

I am recovering well. It is all according to plan. I feel no pain; I am stepping little by little. I cannot walk freely without the shoe, but I am in treatment, I am working out at the gym too. I am preparing well.

Brazil manager Tite is expected to name Neymar in his World Cup squad for Russia, with the £200 million man's inclusion seen seen as a crucial to the success of the Selecao in this summer's tournament.
