The Champions League quarter-finals ended with Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund turning back toward domestic football for the solace of silverware: Bayern look to have the league sewn up, while both still had a shot at the German Cup. They met in the semi-finals of that competition tonight, and it proved a game worthy of the best rivalry in German football over the past five years or so.
