Breaking: Andy Boyle's Agent Confirms Preston Move

Dundalk were knocked out of Europe last night and it's taken less than 24 hours for a major move for one of their players.

Andy Boyle's agent has confirmed on Twitter that he has joined Preston North End

Boyle appeared last night in Dundalk's exit from the Europa League against Maccabi Tel-Aviv and leaves the Lilywhites with three League of Ireland medals in his back pocket.

He becomes the fifth Irish player at the club, joining Aidan McGeady, Greg Cunningham, Alan Browne and Eoin Doyle

Daryl Horgan is heavily linked with a move to the same club but there has yet to be an announcement confirming that move. Sean Gannon's agent is also hoping to secure a cross-channel move for the young right back.

The Sun had reported a double swoop for Boyle and Horgan which the Lancashire Evening Post had picked up earlier today

The article suggested that the contracts for the duo were for two and a half-year deals. With a wage of £6,000 a week We await the confirmation from Preston.
