With an encyclopaedic knowledge of football and an ability to express himself like no other, Brian Kerr has been a breath of fresh air since coming on our TV screens as a pundit.

Aside from his impressive CV that boasts managerial successes with Ireland's U-16 and U-18-18 Irish teams, the St Patrick's Athletic icon has a passion for football - especially Irish football, on all levels - that's rarely matched.

Who else can get away with saying things like: "He went down like a big whinge-bag!" and "looks like he's banjo'd now alright!" and make it sound like it completely belongs in a piece of commentary and punditry.

On a more serious note, Kerr has managed both the Republic of Ireland and the Faroe Islands during various campaigns, so his knowledge of international football is exceptional.

However, his no-frills approach has made him a popular figure on Irish TV and in Brian Kerr's Football Stories viewers will get an up-close and personal view of Kerr.

The synopsis states: "Legendary former Irish international football manager Brian Kerr discusses his life and career in an in-depth conversation with Virgin Media Sport’s Tommy Martin.

From his sport obsessed childhood to the highs and lows of managing the Republic of Ireland, football in war zones, successes and failures in between, Brian Kerr tells his football story like no one else could. Brian’s warmth, wit and honesty pervade in two hour-long episodes filled with his amazing journey through football and life."
